&$*#?? Are Minnesota Vikings Fans the Most Foul Mouthed and Rude?

When you are a fan of a sports team, whatever team that is, there are times when things don't go quite as you, as a fan, might like them to go.  And from time to time, when things go awry, there may be some colorful language that may spew out of your mouth.

This happens with every fan base.  But, what team's fans are the worst offenders?

We, as Minnesota sports fans, and mostly Vikings fans, know the heartbreak of being said Vikings fan.  The Vikings have been to 4 Super Bowls in franchise history, but have yet to acquire that coveted Lombardi trophy.  And we hear about it endlessly by some of those fans across the border.

There was a new study done by Flashpicks and Reddit.  And they have found that NFL fans in general are the most foul-mouthed fans.  BUT Minnesota Vikings fans did not rank in the top 5... top 10, yes.

The study revealed that Minnesota Vikings fans are the eighth rudest fans in the NFL, with a score of 6.7 out of 10. A massive 192 curse words were posted in the Vikings’ Reddit fan forum last year alone.

Oh, and guess what the favorite curse word was... when I say guess I mean, you get 3 guesses and the first two don't count.  You know what word generally flies out of people's mouths when the Vikings do... what they do.

Vikings fan’s favorite curse word proved to be the ‘F-word’, which was used 53 times. The Vikings membership base of 266,000 people were also particularly keen on using the curse word ‘sh*t’, used 27 times, and ‘a*s’ used 23 times.

When the Vikings are doing well, as they seem to be this season, we, as fans, still know what can and probably will happen.  But we always hold out hope every season that this will "finally be the year".  But honestly, unless they figure out how to play much better offensively in the second half, this undefeated trend could end soon.  Hopefully not, but you know... it's the Vikings.

By the way, the fan base who is the most foul-mouthed and rude are the Detroit Lions fans.  At least according to this study.
