The 2026 Burger Battle continues in Downtown Sioux Falls through the end of January, and for the 13th annual event, your choices are more plentiful than ever. This year, there are 50 different burgers to choose from, shattering last year's record of 39 entries.

This year's offering from Josiah's Cafe is the 'Capo Caprese Burger'.

Here's the official description:

A toasted brioche bun stacked with our garlic-ricotta cream cheese spread, a 6-oz grilled patty, house-made tomato-onion bruschetta & basil, a balsamic drizzle, and fresh pesto aioli.

This is a mashup of a simple Italian salad and a good, old fashioned American burger and it does a great job of representing both. Lots of flavor and loads of great texture.
