One of America's best-known standup comedians is coming to South Dakota this summer.

Gabriel Iglesias has been added to the entertainment lineup for the 2023 South Dakota State Fair.

'Fluffy' will take the stage at the fair's grandstand, Friday, September 1.

Iglesias was born in San Diego in 1976 and grew up all over Southern California.He began doing standup full-time in 1997 and by 2000 was in the cast of Nickelodeon's sketch comedy show All That.

In 2006, Iglesias was a contestant on the fourth season of the reality TV series Last Comic Standing on NBC.

Last year, Iglesias became the first comedian to sell out Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. That concert, Stadium Fluffy, was later released on Netflix.

Iglesias' South Dakota show in September is being billed as 'family-friendly'.

Presales start June 5 for those eligible for the Friends of the Fair VIP table presale, followed by backrest holder and Friends of the Fair ticket presales.

General public ticket sales will begin on June 20.

The 2023 South Dakota State Fair runs from Thursday, August 31, through Monday, September 4.

Channel Seeds Preview night will be Wednesday, August 30.
