Sioux Falls can expect temperatures to start to fall this afternoon and continue overnight until we hit a low of seven below zero. Oh! And don't forget about the wind chills, they'll be even colder.
What the National Weather Service Says
"Much colder air moves into the region today and into tonight. By daybreak tomorrow morning, wind chills as cold as 25 degrees below zero are expected. Bundle up if spending any time outdoors," - National Weather Service
It's expected to be a short cold snap, with Sioux Falls warming back to the 20s on Thursday.
This could be a tough time for people who work outside and for pets. Plan on protecting yourself if you have to be in the elements. Make sure your pets have a warm place to keep out of the cold.
