Viral Video Features Four Southern Minnesota Communities
One of the best things about living in Minnesota is when outsiders arrive for the first time and remark about how much they love it here. It's almost impossible not to fall in love with the state when driving through some of its smaller, yet charming communities. Without speaking to a single local, exploring these towns on your own can showcase just how special small town Minnesota can be.
This is exactly what one popular YouTube vlogger experienced on a recent drive through the southern part of the state. Joe & Nic's Road Trip has been highlighting small town America for years and its viewers appreciate how the channel showcases both the good and bad the towns on its videos.
Recently, the channel took a drive through southern Minnesota, featuring the communities of Janesville, Waterville, Morristown & Le Center. Here's a look at what these popular outsiders had to say about rural living in the North Star State.

Janesville, Minnesota: Population 2,455
Janesville was the first town highlighted in the video and Joe (the narrator) was pleasantly surprised by the community's low crime rate, higher housing prices and local economy.
Pictured above are two of the staples of Janesville; the old school Dairy Queen and the community library.
Waterville, Minnesota: Population 1,788
While in Waterville, the vlogger checked out some of the historic neighborhoods, the Veterans Memorial and, of course, the lakefront. While driving through, he mentions that Waterville has one of the lowest crime rates in the entire United States.
Morristown, Minnesota: Population 982
Up next was Morristown, with a quick pit stop at the Old Town Tavern before eventually making his way to the historic old schoolhouse. While driving through, he did mention that crime is a bit higher in Morristown than the other surrounding communities.
Le Center, Minnesota: Population 2,514
The final stop was the town of Le Center, the county seat of Le Sueur County. The vlogger visited the old courthouse, commenting on the beauty of the architecture.
These are four wonderfully charming towns that are about as "Minnesota" as Minnesota gets, so it's nice to see them have their moment in the sun.
