If someone were to walk up to you and ask you to make up a holiday, what would it be and what would you call it?

Don't laugh, it's an actual day. Apparently every March 26 is National "Make Up Your Own Holiday Day."

For me, there's no way I can narrow it down just one. I've got too many ideas floating around in my head.

My first holiday would be to give all the men and women who served in the military Veterans Day off - no questions asked.

I realize Veterans Day isn't a new holiday, but giving all those who served November 11th off is the least we can do as a way of saying, "Thank you."

My second holiday would be everyone working gets their birthday off. I would call it "It's My Birthday Day."

In all honesty, I actually find it kind of weird and creepy celebrating my birthday with co-workers - but that's just me.

My third holiday would be giving everyone the day off after the Super Bowl. I would call it "Super Bowl Monday."

If the NFL refuses to move the big game to Saturday, then we should have the following Monday off to recuperate.

Same thing with the NCAA holding its football and basketball championship games on a Monday night. My fourth holiday would be everyone gets the following Tuesday off.

My fifth holiday is another one of those that already exists but isn't being observed like it should - Thanksgiving. No one should have to work on Thanksgiving - period.

While we're at it, make my sixth holiday the day after Independence Day. Being fireworks displays are held late at night, we'll call it "I Stayed Up Way Too Late Day."

My seventh holiday would be the first day every year when the temperature reaches 80 degrees. I'm guessing productivity drops to half anyways so why make people work.

My eighth holiday would be called "Because I Don't Feel Like It Day." It's for that one day when you wake up and say to yourself, "I just don't see me going into work today."

My ninth holiday is for the kids. No kid should have to go to school on their birthday unless they want to. The parents should get to stay home to make them a big breakfast.

And my tenth made up holiday would be called "Comfy Pajama Day." The one day each year when I don't have to get out of my pajamas the entire day - and I get no dirty looks.

So back to my original question - what would your made up holiday be?
