Heat Wave Moving Into South Dakota!

There is a big warmup on the Horizon for all of South Dakota in this Weekend's Weather Forecast!

According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, a welcome warmup is headed to South Dakota, bringing temperatures back to and above seasonal averages.

The warming trend begins this weekend, with particularly mild conditions expected west of Interstate 29.

Weekend Temperature Outlook:

Rapid City: 51°F Saturday, climbing to 61°F Sunday

Pierre: 48°F Saturday, rising to 58°F Sunday

Sioux Falls: 35°F Saturday, 44°F Sunday, reaching 52°F Monday

The warmest conditions will arrive Sunday into Monday, with temperatures reaching the 50s and possibly 60s west of I-29 on Sunday, before spreading across the entire state Monday.

The forecast calls for continued dry weather through the beginning of next week.

This spring-like pattern will be a noticeable change from recent conditions, offering South Dakotans a perfect opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities.
