Get Ready for Harrisburg Days 2026!

Summer is well underway, and with it comes an awesome amount of small-town celebrations that bring numerous communities together. Harrisburg Days is just one of them, and it really shines!

Harrisburg Days always takes place the second weekend of June, and this year is no exception. This big event is coming up on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 12-14.

The schedule is loaded with tons of family fun already, but if you want to be a part of this big celebration, there is still time. Just contact the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce at 605-777-9120, or head over to the Harrisburg Days website.

You'll find information on the Craft & Vendor Fair, as well as registration forms for the Mr. and Miss Harrisburg Days pageant, the Parade, the Tiger Trot 5K, and the Harrisburg Days Car Show.

As I was slicing a piece of cheese off my block of Dimock Dairy Colby cheese and boiling a ring of Bluebird Locker German sausage on the stove, I started thinking, "What foods is South Dakota known for?'

Then I realized the state is known for some of my favorite foods, are they're actually made right here in South Dakota!
