It seems like a natural progression. People use various sodas to make mixed drinks and cocktails all the time. However, Hard Mountain Dew isn't exactly a soda. It's zero sugar and has no caffeine.

The Boston Beer Company is the maker of Sam Adams and Truly so they know a thing or two about alcoholic beverages.

Dave Burwick, the CEO of The Boston Beer Company said in a press release, "We know that adult drinkers' tastes are evolving, and they are looking for new and exciting flavorful beverages. The combination of our experience in brewing and developing the best-tasting hard seltzers and hard teas, and MTN DEW, a one of kind multi-billion dollar brand, will deliver the excitement and refreshment that drinkers know and love."

Hard Mountain Dew will come in three flavors, original Mountain Dew, Black Cherry, and Watermelon. All flavors will be 5% alcohol.

When will your taste buds be able to sample this new concoction? Well, patience is a virtue. Hard Mountain Dew should hit shelves in early 2022.

As with any alcoholic beverage, you must be 21 years old to enjoy. Also, drink responsibly.
