
Former South Dakota Gov. Noem’s Purse With Cash Stolen
Former South Dakota Governor, now Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem was the victim of theft while dining at a downtown Washington, DC restaurant.
CNN is reporting that, according to sources familiar with the incident, surveillance footage reviewed by the Secret Service showed an unidentified white male wearing a medical mask taking her bag before leaving the restaurant.

The theft resulted in the loss of several personal items.
When stolen, Homeland Security Secretary Noem's purse allegedly contained:
- makeup
- passport
- Department of Homeland Security access badge
- apartment keys
- prescription medication
- driver's license
- blank checks
- approximately $3,000 in cash.
The Secret Service, which provides security for Secretary Noem as part of her cabinet position, has initiated an investigation into the incident.
