The number of cases of coronavirus in South Dakota went up again Tuesday but stuck with the trend of a number under 100.

The number of new COVID-19 cases went up to 2,313 in the state according to the South Dakota Department of Health. Active cases went down by eight to 910. Seven more people were hospitalized to bring that total 157, while the overall total of people currently hospitalized increased by five to 69.

As always the vast majority of the new cases came from the Sioux Falls area. 59 new cases were found in Minnehaha County and two new cases were found in Lincoln County.

58 percent of the cases in Minnehaha County have recovered and 46 percent of the cases in Lincoln County have recovered.
