The weather in Sioux Falls didn't allow us to see the solar eclipse Monday (August 21). Other than a period of darkness that was still a magical experience, we missed the main event.

But, no worries, it's 2017 and there are cameras everywhere. The best feed of eclipse 2017 that I found was from NASA itself. They followed the moon's shadow from Oregon  across the mountains, the plains, the South and out through South Carolina.

When the darkness fell on our part of the country they were at Homestead National Monument of America near Beatrice, Nebraska for the eclipse. In the video above you can see the moon moving in-front of the sun. The skies there cleared enough to see the sun's corona and the diamond effect caused by the moon's mountains. They also talk to a NASA scientist for a play-by-play.

The Nebraska part of the video starts at about 3:30:22 in the video.

The whole video will let you see the eclipse from lots of different places in the country too.
