Chvrches singer Lauren Mayberry revealed she's been receiving death and rape threats after the band publicly called Chris Brown a "predator and abuser."

This all started when the Chvrches released a statement on social media, criticizing Marshmello's decision to collaborate with Brown and Tyga on the track “Light It Up."

“We are really upset, confused and disappointed by Marshmello’s choice to work with Tyga and Chris Brown,” the band wrote. “We like and respect Mello as a person but working with people who are predators and abusers enables, excuses and ultimately tacitly endorses that behavior. That is not something we can or will stand behind.”

Tyga later reacted to in the comments section of the post, writing, “Where all God’s children. Everyone makes mistakes no ones perfect. Let’s keep the energy positive.”

However, Brown wasn't so nice. Instead, he commented on another photo on Chvrches' Instagram account, writing “BUNCH OF LOSERS. these are the type of people I wish walked in front of a speeding bus full of mental patients."

“Keep groveling over your own insecurities and hatred," he continued. "IM BLACK AND PROUD. AND I KNOW ITS HURTS THAT U GUYS ARE STRUGGLING WIT LIFE OR PEACE SO U ARE FORCED TO SEE MY SUCCESS. You aren’t even #2 (REMEMBER 2nd place only means YOU LOST FIRST! TA-TA. GOODDAY PEASANTS."

Following the pop star's reaction, his fans have been harassing Mayberry online—and she shared a few graphic screenshots of DMs she's received.

But despite all the backlash, Mayberry still stands by Chvches original statement, tweeting, "Angry men on the internet can call me all the names they want. I still think domestic abuse is wrong."

Brown pleaded guilty for assaulting ex Rihanna in 2009 and Tyga recently settled a sexual assault lawsuit after a woman alleged his team got her drunk and groped her on the set of his 2001 music video "Make It Nasty."
