The stage is set for South Dakota's brightest young talents to dazzle and inspire. From May 30th to June 1st, Brookings will host the 77th annual Miss South Dakota competition.

Twenty poised and accomplished women will compete for the coveted state title and a chance to represent our state at the Miss America competition.

These admirable candidates, hailing from all corners of South Dakota, range in age from 19 to 25. But they all share a commitment to excellence and are leaders in their communities, driven by talent, intellect, and a passion for service and healthy living.

Over three evenings of preliminaries and finals, they'll showcase their skills in interviews, talent, fitness, evening wear, and in an on-stage conversation.

It's more than just a beauty pageant - it's a celebration of well-rounded achievement. The young woman who is selected as Miss South Dakota 2024 will be awarded over $11,000 in scholarships and prizes.

All competitions are at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the South Dakota State University campus in Brookings. The competition finals on Saturday will be available on a livestream. Ticket information for in-person events as well as the livestream available at misssd.org.

The preliminary competitions will be at 6:30 PM, on Thursday, May 30, and Friday, May 31. The final competition will take place at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, June 1.

The Miss South Dakota’s Teen competition will be held in conjunction with the Miss South Dakota competition on Thursday and Friday evenings, with the new Miss South Dakota’s Teen being crowned after Friday’s event.
