Area Chefs Do the Cooking During Annual ‘Gourmet Guys’ Event
The guys are responsible for doing the cooking this Sunday during the 16th annual "Gourmet Guys" event to benefit Active Generations in the Sioux Empire.
KDLT News is reporting that 34 different chefs plan to strap on an apron and participate this year, along with one youth chef. Each gourmet guy will be tasked with preparing their very own bite-sized meal for every guest in attendance to enjoy.
Come prepared to taste and judge culinary surprises in four different categories like; appetizers, sides/salads, entrees, and desserts.
Lots of food will be served, and they guarantee you will not leave hungry!
Event coordinators Rod Carlson and Gourmet Guy Willie Berscht told KDLT News they once again anticipate over 600 people to attend this year's event.
Gourmet Guys is the big fundraiser each year that helps make senior-based programs possible at Active Generations.
The event takes place on Sunday (April 30) from 4:30-6:30 PM at Active Generations, located at 2300 West 46th Street in Sioux Falls.
Tickets are $40 in advance and available at Active Generations. They'll be $45 the day of the event.
Proceeds will help benefit programs such as Meals on Wheels, Workers on Wheels, the activities department and many more throughout Active Generations.
