Portions of 57th Street to Close in Sioux Falls for Road Construction

According to the city of Sioux Falls, beginning on Monday, September 30, 2013, at 6:30 a.m., 57th Street will be closed between Old Yankton Road and Old Yankton Circle (basically 57th Street between Louise Ave. and Western Ave.) to allow construction crews to install a new sanitary sewer line across 57th Street at this location.

Traffic on 57th Street will be detoured via 49th Street, Western Avenue, Louise Avenue, and I-229. Access to 57th Street from Old Yankton Road and Old Yankton Circle will be maintained at all times.

57th Street is expected to reopen to traffic by Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

Motorists are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the work zones and on the detour routes.
