Hy Vee Recalls Some Dairy Products Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota
Hy-Vee stores in 8 States including Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota are recalling some dairy products due to a risk of Salmonella poisoning.
Hy-Vee, Inc., a company based in West Des Moines, Iowa, is voluntarily recalling two varieties of its Cream Cheese Spread and its bulk-packaged Cookies & Cream Mix as a precautionary measure due to the potential risk of Salmonella contamination.
The FDA states that these products are manufactured at different third-party facilities located in the Midwestern region and are sold under Hy-Vee's private label and bulk packaging brands.
The manufacturers of these products alerted Hy-Vee about the potential issue, prompting the company to voluntarily recall these specific products out of an abundance of caution.
No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received due to the consumption of any of these products.
The affected products were distributed to Hy-Vee, Hy-Vee Drugstore, Dollar Fresh Market locations, and Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience stores across the company's eight-state region, including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
