So you grab your standard milk, eggs, bread, maybe some cookies - -and head for the checkout at your Hy-Vee, only to come face-to-face with former Late Night TV show host David Letterman!
And he's going to bag your groceries for you!
According to CNN Entertainment, Letterman apparently was in Des Moines to see the Rahal Letterman Lanigan racing car No. 45, driven by Christian Lundgaard in the Hy-Vee Indy Car Race.
Dave reportedly stocked some shelves, ate some Hy-Vee goodies, and made a few loudspeaker announcements, to the surprise and delight of the Hy-Vee shoppers.
